Restoring the Ramadan Table: Food Parcel Relief for Gaza’s Most Vulnerable

image

uring the blessed days of Ramadan, when homes are meant to be filled with warmth and shared meals, many displaced families in northern Gaza continue to face deep hardship and food insecurity. For mothers, children, and the elderly living in displacement camps, a simple food parcel can bring comfort, stability, and dignity.

In response, Al-Amal Society for Women and Child launched the Ramadan Food Parcel Distribution Project, reaching displaced families across northern Gaza with essential food support throughout the holy month. Each parcel contains carefully selected items such as tahini, sunflower oil, olive oil, halva, white cheese, fava beans, yellow cheese, tea, sugar, bulgur, pasta, dates, juice, jam, eggs, and za’atar, and others; offering valuable nutritional elements that help sustain families in challenging conditions.

These parcels allow families to prepare their meals with greater ease and reassurance, bringing moments of relief and warmth to their tables.

Through this project, Al-Amal continues its humanitarian mission, spreading mercy, protecting dignity, and nurturing hope in Gaza, one parcel at a time.
