During the difficult living conditions in the north of the Gaza Strip, Al-Amal Society for Women and Child continues to protect children’s well-being through its monthly Dental and Medical Clinic for Children project in displacement camps.
The story begins with preparation. Medical supplies, dental tools, and essential medicines are carefully sourced, cleaned, sterilized, and packed before each clinic day. A safe space is then set up inside the camps, transforming a simple tent or room into a place of care and reassurance. Volunteer doctors, dentists, and nurses arrive ready to listen, examine, and treat children who have endured months of displacement and hardship.
Children receive medical check-ups, dental care, and treatment for common illnesses, while mothers are guided through practical sessions on child health, nutrition, hygiene, and preventive care. These moments of learning empower mothers to better protect their children’s health in challenging circumstances.
In a reality shaped by war, this clinic offers more than treatment. It restores comfort, knowledge, and hope; helping children grow healthier and reminding families that care and compassion are still within reach.
