From Careful Hands to Waiting Tables: Meat That Carries Life to North of Gaza

Throughout the famine and the ongoing war in the north of the Gaza Strip, Al-Amal Society for Women and Child continues to stand with displaced families through a vital meat distribution project that restores nourishment and dignity in a time of deep need.

The journey begins long before the meat reaches the camps. Sheep are carefully sourced, selected, and prepared with strict humanitarian and health considerations in mind. Each step, from slaughtering to cleaning and packing, is carried out with care and respect, ensuring the meat is safe, fresh, and suitable for families who have endured months of hunger and deprivation.

Once prepared, the meat is portioned and packed to serve as many families as possible, then transported under challenging conditions to displacement camps across northern Gaza. There, it is handed directly to displaced families who wait patiently, often relying on this distribution as their primary source of protein.

In a place where scarcity has become routine, this project offers more than food. It delivers reassurance, dignity, and a reminder that even in famine and war, compassion still finds its way to those who need it most.
