During the famine and the ongoing war in the north of the Gaza Strip, Al-Amal Society for Women and Child continues to respond to one of the most urgent needs of displaced families: access to safe drinking water.
Each day, the journey begins with securing clean, potable water from approved sources under extremely challenging conditions. The water is carefully tested, treated, and monitored to ensure it is safe for human consumption before being loaded into water trucks. Every step of the process is carried out with precision, knowing that this water may be the only source of drinking water for families living in displacement camps.
Once filled, the trucks travel across damaged roads to reach overcrowded camps, where water is unloaded and distributed directly to displaced people. Children gather with containers, parents wait patiently, and each drop becomes a small relief in a long day shaped by scarcity.
In a reality marked by thirst and uncertainty, this project offers more than water. It offers dignity, protection, and a reminder that even during famine and war, life must continue to flow.
