At Sunset, Hope is Served: Iftar Meals for Displaced Families in Northern Gaza

image

In the blessed month of Ramadan, as families gather at sunset to break their fast, many displaced families in northern Gaza are still facing hunger and uncertainty. For mothers, children, and the elderly living in displacement camps, a warm and nutritious meal at Iftar has become a deep and urgent need.

In response, Al-Amal Society for Women and Child launched the Ramadan Hot Meals Distribution Project, providing freshly prepared meals every day at Iftar time to families across northern Gaza. Each meal includes rice with meat or chicken, carefully prepared to ensure both nourishment and essential nutritional value that supports health and strength.

Our teams distribute the meals daily just before the call to Maghrib prayer, allowing families to break their fast with dignity and comfort. A warm plate, a caring gesture, and a shared moment at sunset remind them that they are not alone.

Through this initiative, Al-Amal continues to spread mercy, protect dignity, and bring hope to Gaza — one Iftar meal at a time.
